Organizing on a Budget- Mundex Planner

First of all, I want to welcome you to my new Blog...Organizing With Sheena. I am really happy to be able to share my content with you. First I want to share with you what I hope to accomplish with this blog and what kind of content I plan to share with you.

Organizing With Sheena is a blog about organizing, decorating, and living on a budget. I know it is fun to watch YouTube videos on other people's lives and how they decorate and organize but not everyone has the money to be able to afford the higher quality merchandise. This blog will show you how to decorate and organize but do it on an affordable budget but look like high quality. OWS will also show you how to live on a budget. Money is tight for everyone these days, and I will show you how to shop on a budget, get fit on a budget and a lot more!!

So let's get started. My first project is your set up of a daily planner. The Filofax planners are very nice but only if you can afford $100 to buy one. To do this on a budget, Mundex planners will get the job done. Fortunately, I found mine at a thrift store for a $1.00 and it had never been used. I know that they sell for about $25.00. I do want to say that keep your eyes out in thrift stores because this is where you can find higher quality merchandise without having to pay a fortune for it.

Here is the Mundex planner

My Mundex planner is a red faux synthetic day planner, which is binder style. I find this a very nice binder if you are starting out planning. This is what the inside of my planner looks like: Keep in mind that I am just setting this up and will do an update once I get it completely filled out and how I am going to use it daily.

I use my daily planner to keep track of my daily to-do list, appointments, meetings using a color-coded system. It's a good idea to plan your day the night before. This allows you to make sure all the important events for the next day is taken care of and you are aware of what your schedule will be like for the next day. I also use the monthly calendar to put appointments, items due, meetings, birthdays in these blocks. On the daily list I will add more detail that would be needed. On Sunday is a great time to do your weekly planning. On this day copy items from your monthly calendar onto your up-coming weekly schedule.

Some good planning accessories to have on hand when you use your daily planning :
I hope you enjoyed the basic set up of beginning planning on a budget. I will do an update with how to set up a better system in the near future.

Don't forget to follow my blog! I will be posting on this new blog 2-3 times a week or more, so make sure you follow along to see how I take a rental home and completely organize and decorate this home top to bottom over the course of the year.

See you all soon!
